Project Description

Art has the power to express what words cannot. Through our art activities, children and youth with African roots in Minden explore their cultural identity and personal creativity in a safe and supportive environment. Our sessions include drawing, painting, crafts and other visual arts inspired by African artistic traditions. Children develop their imagination, fine motor skills and self-confidence while creating works that reflect their unique cultural background and personal experiences. These creative workshops also serve as a space for intercultural exchange, bringing together children from different backgrounds to learn from each other and celebrate diversity through art.

Why This Project Matters

To promote multilingualism and strengthen language skills in both German and mother tongue for children with African roots in Minden.

Children and youth with African roots living in Minden and the surrounding region of Kreis Minden-Lübbecke.

By building strong language foundations early, children gain confidence for school, training and social participation throughout their lives.
